 Crystal Lars Crystal Lars was an exquisite soul who left us too soon at the age of 19. Her account was a cheery presence for Oncers, and her "Why We Love Once Upon a Time" pics with captions were always a joy to see on my timeline. Her dear friend Elisa Barry (@ElisaBarry7) shares here Crystal's inspirational Untold Story.~Teresa Martin Crystal was the most warm and beautiful person I have ever known. She had this incredibly positive attitude. Crystal loved Once Upon a Time more than anything. It actually kept her going in the face of her cancer.  I only met Crystal two years ago (Nov.) through my girlfriend. She was her best friend and I had no idea that this positive ray of holiness and spirit would become my best friend too. We were this perfect trio of friends, but things were not perfect for us. The day Crystal found out about her cancer, she got a social media account. And then another and another. She wanted to leave her mark on this world. She wanted to make an impact on someone who did not know her personally. She saw all the hate in the fandom and knew what she had to do.  Crystal started "Why We Love Once Upon A Time" to remind everyone why we watch this show and that we shouldn't complain. She posted these about all characters, all ships, etc. Crystal hardly ever posted about herself. She also has a Vine and Ask account if you want to learn more about her. She was so happy when she got 100,000 loops on Vine. And it's still growing. The trio of us were all dedicated Oncers. We all shipped different things, but that actually made it more fun. We saw other points of view. We planned on going to Steveston this summer, but Crystal's illness took a turn for the worse. We visited her almost every day to rewatch Once Upon a Time talking about FairyTales 4 and other conventions.  She never got to meet the cast. She never got to hug them. She was noticed by a few of them and she was more than okay with that. Crystal spread nothing but OUAT positivity and that is lesson we should all take from her. Spread love. Don't bash on actors or writers. If it weren't for Adam and Eddy we wouldn't have this show to begin with.  Crystal's death is actually the moment that I changed. I see things in a new way. I don't make fun of other ships and I don't hate on people who hate on me. That's not what she would have wanted. She left me to follow in her footsteps; continue her account; spread the love. It's like a part of her lives inside me. It's like a part of her is still here. In Loving Memory Crystal Lars 1997-2016 Crystal's Last Post This is where our game ends. Thank you for playing along with me and sharing why you love this show. This show was a huge light in my life. I am greatful that is exists every day. The past few arcs may not have been my favorite but they all had great scenes and epic moments. A part of me hoped that Season 5 would be the last so that I could see it end. I'm at the point where I look back at everything I wanted to happen that didn't. We didn't get to go to Steveston. RedWarrior didn't happen and OutlawQueen didn't get married. SwanQueen still isn't together. We don't know who Lily's father is or what happened with Will and Ana or where Liam Jones (the half brother) is. Roland didn't get adopted by Regina. I never got noticed by Lana or any of the main cast (I was noticed by Sean but he's not longer in the main cast). I never got to meet them either. I never got to hug them and tell them how much they mean to me. But that is okay. It's all okay. This show exists. It hasn't gotten cancelled. It's still going. The fandom is strong and we always bicker even though we shouldn't. We all love this show for one reason or another. Once Upon a Time exists in our lives. I can never regret that. And since I won't get to see this show end-and it will be a beautiful ending with lots of feels and everyone living happily ever after-I can say SwanQueen is canon in my head. And Rumple is Regina's father. It will be canon to me. It will be canon for me. I can imagine my own answers to those questions. I got noticed by so many Once cast members on Twitter. I was noticed by Freya Tingley (Wendy), Lee Arenberg, Sean Maguire, Jessy Schram (Cinderella), Quinn Lord (Hansel), Kalrey Scott (Gretel), Caroline Ford (Nimue), Raphael Alejandro (Roland), and McKenna Grace (little Emma). I am so grateful for that. For each and every like, follow...everything. Thank you for being a part of that. Thank you for noticing me. It's just one word but it can be so difficult to say.
