The second in a series.

Emma Swan

Emma's red leather jacket has been a fan favorite since we've seen her wear this in the pilot. The color red represents assertiveness, power, and courageousness which are all qualities that Emma has. To Emma, this jacket is like her armor. She tends to wear this in difficult situations, where she feels she needs strength. For example, she wore this jacket in the Season 1 finale "A Land Without Magic" when she finally accepted that fairytales were real, while dealing with Henry under the sleeping curse. Along with her classic red jacket, she also has leather jackets in the colors blue, black, burgundy, and tan.

Emma is usually seen wearing jeans and t-shirts, but on occasion she enjoys dressing up.

In the season three finale, we saw her in a red ballgown. As she was born into a family of royalty, it was no surprise to see her fit right in at the ball. She was made to wear ballgowns and dance; it's in her blood! Although Snow White and Prince Charming weren't able to take Emma to her very first ball, she, as always, took the lead and stepped into her position of what she was really meant to be: a princess.

And then, there was this gorgeous pink dress was first seen in "The Apprentice" when she was going on her date with Killian:

This dress brought out a lighter, more romantic and feminine side of Emma. She had her heart open and wanted to dress to impress. It is delicate and flowing, representing how vulnerable she was in this moment.

Most recently, we have seen our characters in Camelot. In honor of their arrival, a ball was held. Emma was wearing a long, white gown. This associates with the goodness and light that still shines brightly inside of her. The dress has a positive, angelic overtone, in contrast to the new darkness that she has consumed.

Now, since Emma is the "Dark Swan" her wardrobe has changed immensely. Her new favorite color seems to be black, and she has plenty of outfits to correspond with her high heels. Whether she is wearing a black dress, or a reptilian-like jacket, she knows how to enter a room with a style that certainly catches everyone's attention. This new look on Emma is attributable to the darkness and power she has. It is almost a barrier for Emma, so shy she can stash her feelings and emotions under the intimidating color that she wears.

Emma has had a satisfying amount of different apparel to wear in Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest. We can't help but wonder what she'll be wearing next. Who knows? Maybe one day we'll get to see her in a wedding dress!
