A Fan Theory by Gareth Hughes
With regards Snow's proposal to "take back the kingdom", I feel we will see those events unfold in season two. I think the reason King George/D.A Spencer is in Storybrooke and not a character who was killed off, is to provide Regina with a mighty ally in season two. Spencer will now have his memories of what Snow and Charming did to him back in FTL. He will be out for blood and will turn to Regina for support in overthrowing them once and for all. Season two will focus on revenge. FTL stories will follow the events leading to King George and the Queen's ultimate downfall, while the Storybrooke focus will parallel FTL with Regina and Spencer joining forces.

A Fan Theory by Gareth Hughes
If you haven't watched the sneak peeks for this Sunday's episode, stop reading now as my comments will contain spoilers. In the sneak peeks, we assumed that Regina was going to use the last bit of magic she had to go on 'one last journey'. We assume it is her and Jefferson that is taking the journey but what if we are wrong. What if Regina is plotting to use the hat to send Emma on a one way trip. Recent interviews have mentioned that Regina is scheming to exile Emma.. What if this is how she does it? By sending her to another world. Maybe Regina will promise Jefferson a reunion with his daughter if he goes along with some dastardly plan to rid Storybrooke of Emma. Blinded by love and desperation, Jefferson may allow himself to once again be used by the Queen. Also since the title of the finale is A Land Without Magic, and since Jefferson told Emma she had magic, could the title imply this ending as well. That the magic from Storybrooke would be removed if Emma was exiled. We know these writers love to send characters on long and emotional journeys, especially by tearing them apart and having them reunite much further down the line. Maybe the curse will be broken at the end of season one but will Emma be around to be Storybrooke's saviour? It's not often that I weigh in with a big fan theory besides the odd comment on the Facebook page, however this theory has been building for a few months now so I wanted to share it with you all, especially given the events in Sunday's episode.
What happened to Baelfire when he went through the swirling green vortex? I believe that Baelfire was transported to our world, A Land without Magic. The vortex also acted as a time machine, much the way Mr Gold mentioned to August. It transported Baelfire through "the barriers of time and space". I believe 14 year old Baelfire landed in our world in the mid 1990's. Can you imagine how confused and frightened Baelfire would have been. To suddenly find himself transported to the hustle and bustle of one of our biggest cities in the mid 90's. Imagine also that the young boy, seemingly abandoned and alone, traumatised by the loss of his father, would appear quite strange and incoherent to anyone he met. Where would a child like that be put? I feel strongly that Baelfire would end up in the care system, labelled as mentally ill. And who might Baelfire meet in the care system, our saviour Emma! I believe that Baelfire became quite unstable. He may have been the one responsible for getting Emma into trouble with the police and also got her pregnant. Emma made it quite clear to Mary Margaret in "True North" that she had lied to Henry about his father and that he was definitely no hero. Baelfire is Henry's father, making Rumple Grandfather and completing a truly dysfunctional family tree! |
