Traveling Realms by Amy Hood-- @Amylia403 Flashback to Season One.... As we recall, after a devastating separation from Baelfire, Rumple spent hundreds of years planning, plotting, scheming and manipulating just to find his son. When Blue told him there were no magic beans left (the jury is still out in my mind as to the level of shadiness being The Blue Fairy), he searched everywhere, questioned everyone, devised an in-depth and calculated plan to finally get a Dark Curse cast (then broken) all so he could find his son. The time, heartbreak and tears put into finding Baelfire were legendary. Poor Rumple. Had he only known.... Fast forward to now….as we are about to begin Season 5 we are in a far different situation. Granted, perhaps that “dark curse, savior, break it and call in a favor” was the best option at the time for going from a Land With Magic to a Land Without To Find One’s Son. As we have seen now, realm jumping is almost as easy as hailing a taxi, or getting an Uber ride! What does the Oncer in the know do when needing to realm jump? Perhaps there is an app for it. “Siri, I’d like to travel to Neverland.” “Okay, you’d like me to send you to Neverland”. Poof! Just don’t forget your phone charger, or your coconut shell.
Magic beans, sure, hard to come by. What with that whole pesky giant fiasco with Jack and James. How about enchanted wardrobes or even the dust from an enchanted wardrobe? If you are in the market for something more whimsical and lovely, how about a mermaid? They travel realms like they are going to the corner store for a soda! For those of us who don’t want to get our hair wet, and hey, maybe Rumple felt that way about his hair, how about a Rabbit? Swirly portals and a magic bunny. Sounds a little bit mushroom trippy, but whatever works. The landing on that one was a little hard, but fear not! There are still other ways to try out. Fancy a magic hat? The options in there were fabulous. All those gorgeous doors, peaking our interest, just waiting to be explored! ONCE UPON A COSTUME
by Mia Bennet--@must_be_mia1 First in a series. Eduardo Castro, the magnificent costume designer for Once Upon a Time knows how to bring the characters we love to life with a little spunk in them. Belle, portrayed by the lovely Emilie De Ravin, has several outfits that clearly match her disposition. For starters, she is first seen in her yellow dress in Season 1's "Skin Deep" as she bravely decides to live with Rumplestiltskin forever in order to save her family and kingdom. This dress has a soft overlook, but is embroidered with gold, which signifies "triumphant". This is initially what Belle blossoms into after spending time in the Dark Castle. Dragon Con 2015: A Weekend With The Queens of Darkness by Ashley Bension--@mitigatedtext It’s that time again when fans of everything from table top gaming to alternative history flock down south for the one and only DragonCon. With a record-breaking attendance of 70,000 guests, this year’s DragonCon was bigger and better than ever. And of course Once Upon a Time was represented in the form of our own trio of terrors, the Queens of Darkness, also known as Kristin Bauer van Straten, Merrin Dungey, and Victoria Smurfit. Over the course of Labor Day weekend, Oncers were treated to panels, autographs signings, and photo-ops with each of these excellent actresses, who revealed behind the scenes stories (and more) during their three panel sessions. The weekend started out for me with my own panel experience, as I had been invited to discuss the fourth season of Once Upon a Time on a fan panel run by DragonCon’s American Science Fiction and Fantasy Media Track. Joining me were several other fans and authors well-versed in Once Upon a Time, and we led an hour-long discussion of several different aspects and points of view regarding the fourth season. We were able to involve the audience in our discussion, and it was a fun experience, one I would love to have again. Thank you to everyone who came to the panel!

Once Upon A Time In Disney World by Mia Bennet (@must_be_mia1) As Once Upon a Time goes into its 5th season, it continues to become increasingly more popular at Walt Disney World, Florida. I visit Disney World continuously, and I'm always on the lookout for anything Once Upon a Time related. Since 2011, Disney World has put up Once posters in their bus headers, parks, and the Transportation and Ticket Center where guests load onto monorails and buses. These draw attention and many people are spotted taking their picture in front of them. The posters that I have seen include Season One posters of Emma, Snow, and Rumple, Elsa, and since July 2015, the classic poster of Regina's eyes with the red apple.
